Collection: English Quotes

This is the largest collection in the shop: two thousand lines written or spoken in English, from Shakespeare and the King James Bible to Maya Angelou, Churchill, Oscar Wilde, Helen Keller and Steve Jobs, with a few hundred proverbs and traditional sayings alongside. If a line has ever been pinned above an English-speaking desk, it is probably here.

Each quote is offered in up to twenty typographic designs, from a single bold serif line to quiet small-caps arrangements, so the same words can be set for a kitchen, a nursery, a boardroom or a hallway. The type fills a column narrower than the sheet, which is what makes the prints read as art rather than as posters. Where a line is commonly misattributed, the product page says so.
