You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if… — Milton Hershey | Printable Wall Art

“You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try.”

Words by Milton Hershey (1857-1945) — Founder of The Hershey Company.

About this quote

This quote balances the immediate risk of failure with the certainty of regret. Failing brings temporary disappointment, which can be overcome, whereas refusing to attempt a challenge guarantees complete stagnation. It encourages taking calculated risks in life, reminding us that inaction is the only true way to fail completely before even beginning.

Attributed to American chocolate manufacturer and philanthropist Milton Hershey. Having suffered several early business failures before building his successful confectionery empire, Hershey spoke from personal experience about the necessity of persistence in the face of defeat.

People often hang this in a home office or study to encourage courage and resilience during challenging projects.
