Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. — Ruth Bader Ginsburg | Printable Wall Art

“Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.”

Words by Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933-2020) — Supreme Court Justice and champion of gender equality.

About this quote

This quote asserts that women must have equal representation in every sphere of power, from boardrooms to courtrooms. Ginsburg argues that society functions best when those affected by policy help shape it. Rather than treating female leadership as an exception, she presents it as a basic requirement for genuine fairness and democratic progress in all public life.

Ginsburg made this statement during a 2009 interview with USA Today. It became one of her most famous remarks, summarising her lifelong campaign for legal equality and gender representation while serving on the United States Supreme Court.
