When you're finished changing, you're finished. — Benjamin Franklin | Printable Wall Art

“When you're finished changing, you're finished.”

Words by Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) — American Founding Father, inventor, and writer.

About this quote

This line suggests that growth and personal development are lifelong requirements. To stop learning, adapting, or changing one's mind is to cease truly living or achieving progress. It serves as a reminder that flexibility and self-improvement are essential at every stage of life, and that resisting change ultimately leads to obsolescence and decline.

The statement is widely attributed to Benjamin Franklin, reflecting his personal philosophy of continuous self-improvement and pragmatism during the eighteenth century. It featured in collections of his aphorisms, though exact contemporary publication details remain light.

People often hang this print in a home office or study to encourage adaptability and continuous personal growth.
