Когда в товарищах согласья нет, на лад их дело не пойдёт — Ivan Krylov | Printable Wall Art

“Когда в товарищах согласья нет, на лад их дело не пойдёт”
“When there is no accord among partners, their business will not go well”

Words by Ivan Krylov (1769-1844) — Russia's most celebrated fabulist.

About this quote

This line stresses the importance of unity in any joint endeavour. When individuals work towards conflicting goals or pull in different directions, even the simplest project stalls. Success relies on shared purpose and mutual understanding. Without alignment, talent and effort are wasted, leaving collective goals unfulfilled regardless of how hard each person tries on their own.

The moral opens Ivan Krylov's 1814 fable, The Swan, the Pike and the Crab. In the story, three creatures try to haul a cart together, but pull in opposite directions, leaving the load entirely unmoved.

People often hang this print in a shared office or boardroom to encourage teamwork and aligned goals.
