When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds… — Elon Musk | Printable Wall Art

“When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.”

Words by Elon Musk (1971-) — Entrepreneur, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.

About this quote

This quote highlights the difference between pragmatic calculation and true conviction. When a goal matters deeply, fear of failure or statistical likelihood becomes secondary to the obligation to act. Musk suggests that extraordinary achievements require perseverance through daunting challenges, placing moral or visionary purpose above safe, predictable outcomes.

Elon Musk spoke these words during a 60 Minutes television interview in 2012, reflecting on the early financial and engineering struggles of SpaceX and Tesla when both companies faced a high probability of failure.

People often hang this print in a home office or study to encourage persistence during difficult projects.
