人生得意須盡歡 — Li Bai | Printable Wall Art

“人生得意須盡歡”
“When life goes well, we should enjoy it to the fullest.”

Words by Li Bai (701-762) — Tang dynasty 'Poet Immortal', celebrated for romantic and imaginative verse.

About this quote

This line encourages us to embrace joy completely whenever good fortune comes our way. Li Bai suggests that life is unpredictable and fleeting, so moments of success or happiness should be celebrated without hesitation or restraint. Rather than worrying about the future, one should fully inhabit the present pleasure, sharing good wine and companionship while the opportunity remains.

It comes from the classical Chinese poem Qiang Jin Jiu, meaning Bring in the Wine, composed by Tang dynasty poet Li Bai during the eighth century. It remains one of his most famous works celebrating wine, friendship, and impermanence.

People often hang this print in dining rooms or entertaining spaces to inspire lively gatherings and good cheer.
