What comes into our minds when we think about God is the… — A. W. Tozer | Printable Wall Art

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

Words by A. W. Tozer (1897-1963) — American Christian pastor and author.

About this quote

This statement suggests that a person's concept of God shapes their entire worldview, character, and daily actions. Tozer believed that our view of the divine determines how we see ourselves, treat others, and navigate moral choices. A high, worthy view fosters virtue and spiritual growth, while a degraded view inevitably leads to flawed living and shallow worship.

The line opens the first chapter of Tozer's 1961 book, The Knowledge of the Holy. Writing near the end of his life, the American pastor aimed to restore a deep, traditional understanding of God to modern Christian thought.

People often hang this print in a study or quiet reading nook to prompt daily reflection and quiet contemplation.
