Piensa mal y acertarás. — Spanish Proverb | Printable Wall Art

“Piensa mal y acertarás.”
“Think the worst and you'll be right.”

A traditional Spanish saying, set as gallery-quality typographic wall art.

About this quote

This pragmatic traditional saying suggests that assuming bad intentions or expecting the worst outcome usually proves correct. It is a cynical piece of folk wisdom about human nature, advising caution and scepticism. By anticipating deceit or failure, you protect yourself from disappointment and are rarely caught off guard when things go wrong.

This is a well-known traditional Spanish proverb of unknown origin. It has circulated widely across Spain and Latin America for centuries as a standard folk response to human dishonesty and cynicism.

People often hang this in a home office or study as a humorous nod to practical realism.
