About this quote

This quote encourages a mindset of lifelong learning and active enquiry. Einstein suggests that asking questions is far more crucial than having immediate answers. He argues that curiosity is a fundamental virtue with intrinsic value. Rather than seeking knowledge purely for practical gain, we should value the natural human desire to explore, wonder, and understand the universe around us.

This line appeared in an article published in LIFE magazine in May 1955. It was recorded during a conversation between Einstein and William Miller, a friend's son, shortly before the famous physicist died.

People often hang this print in a home office or classroom to inspire daily reflection and intellectual curiosity.
