The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership. — Harvey S. Firestone | Printable Wall Art

“The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership.”

Words by Harvey S. Firestone (1868-1938) — Founder of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.

About this quote

Leadership is not merely about achieving commercial targets, managing operations, or increasing profit margins. True guidance focuses on helping individuals reach their full potential. When leaders prioritise the personal and professional progress of their team, the entire organisation thrives. Supporting the success of others is therefore the most significant responsibility any leader can undertake.

Harvey S. Firestone was an American industrialist who founded the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in 1900. This quote reflects his early twentieth-century management philosophy, which emphasised human potential alongside industrial progress.

This print is often displayed in a home study or workplace office to encourage thoughtful management and mentorship.
