Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people… — Brian Tracy | Printable Wall Art

“Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, "What's in it for me?"”

Words by Brian Tracy (1944-) — Motivational speaker and author.

About this quote

This quotation contrasts two distinct mindsets regarding achievement. True success is framed not by selfish gain, but by a willingness to serve and support other people. By actively seeking ways to add value to those around them, individuals build strong connections and trust. Conversely, a constant focus on immediate personal reward limits a person's potential and undermines long-term growth.

Brian Tracy is a Canadian-American author and motivational speaker specialising in self-development and leadership. This observation features widely in his books, seminars, and audio programmes from the late twentieth century onwards as a core principle of personal effectiveness.

People often hang this in a home office or study to foster generosity and team-focused thinking while working.
