Success is not an accident, success is actually a choice. — Serena Williams | Printable Wall Art

“Success is not an accident, success is actually a choice.”

Words by Serena Williams (1981-) — Grand Slam tennis champion.

About this quote

This quote challenges the idea that achievement comes down to good luck or random chance. Instead, it frames high performance as a deliberate decision made every day through effort, discipline, and persistence. Reaching a goal requires consistent focus and the willingness to choose hard work over comfort, turning ambition into a daily habit rather than a stroke of fortune.

The line is widely attributed to the champion tennis player in interviews and motivational compilations, though a specific date or transcript is unconfirmed. It reflects her well-documented mindset regarding athletic training and mental preparation.

People often hang this print in a home office or gym to stay focused on daily goals.

Attribution: generally credited to Serena Williams; the exact source is not fully documented.
