Batti il ferro finché è caldo. — Italian Proverb | Printable Wall Art

“Batti il ferro finché è caldo.”
“Strike while the iron is hot.”

A traditional Italian saying, set as gallery-quality typographic wall art.

About this quote

This traditional proverb uses the image of a blacksmith shaping heated metal to encourage prompt action. When an opportunity presents itself, conditions are at their best for achieving a good result. Delaying allows momentum to cool, making success far more difficult. The core idea is to recognise favourable moments and act decisively before the chance passes.

Originating in the traditional craft of blacksmithing, this expression has been used across Europe since medieval times. Though recorded in early Italian literature, it remains a traditional folk saying without a single credited author.

People often hang this print in a home office or workshop to encourage decisive action on daily projects.
