“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Words by Bible — Hebrews 11:1.

About this quote

This verse defines faith as a tangible reality rather than a vague wish. It suggests that spiritual trust gives weight to our future hopes and provides certainty about truths that cannot be physically observed. Faith acts as an inner proof, anchoring belief in things that remain invisible to the human eye, allowing a person to act with confidence in God's promises.

This opening line of Hebrews chapter eleven in the New Testament is traditionally rendered in English through the 1611 King James Bible. The authorship of Hebrews is unknown, though historically attributed to Saint Paul or an early Christian teacher.

People often hang this in a bedroom or study to offer quiet reassurance and spiritual focus each day.
