Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. — Lucille Ball | Printable Wall Art

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line.”

Words by Lucille Ball (1911-1989) — Actress and comedian, star of I Love Lucy.

About this quote

This line suggests that self-regard is the foundation for a balanced life. Before you can build healthy relationships, manage a career, or care for others, you must value yourself. It is not about self-absorption, but about self-respect. When you treat yourself with kindness and confidence, other aspects of your personal and professional life naturally settle into their proper order.

The quotation is widely attributed to American actress Lucille Ball, famed for her pioneering television work in the 1950s. It reflects the pragmatic wisdom she shared in interviews later in her career regarding self-reliance and success.

People often hang this print near a bathroom mirror or bedside table for a daily reminder of self-worth.
