Ama la vita che vivi, vivi la vita che ami. — Italian Proverb | Printable Wall Art

“Ama la vita che vivi, vivi la vita che ami.”
“Love the life you live, live the life you love.”

A traditional Italian saying, set as gallery-quality typographic wall art.

About this quote

This traditional saying offers a two-part guide to personal contentment. First, it encourages gratitude for the reality you currently inhabit. Second, it urges action, prompting you to build a lifestyle aligned with your true passions. The reversed phrasing highlights that finding joy in the present and shaping your own future are equally vital for a fulfilling life.

While widely recognised as a classic Italian proverb, the precise origins and date of this saying are unknown. The line gained global popularity in the twentieth century, appearing in popular music and folk tradition in both Italian and English.

People often display this piece in a bedroom or hallway as a gentle daily reminder when starting the day.
