Ljubav je slijepa. — Croatian Proverb | Printable Wall Art

“Ljubav je slijepa.”
“Love is blind.”

A traditional Croatian saying, set as gallery-quality typographic wall art.

About this quote

This classic saying suggests that when people fall in love, they often overlook the shortcomings, faults, or eccentricities of their partner. Strong affection alters perception, making judgment subjective rather than rational. Ultimately, it reflects how deep devotion accepts a person as they are, prioritising emotional connection over objective assessment or the critical opinions of outsiders.

As a traditional Croatian proverb, this timeless sentiment has circulated orally across generations. The figure of speech is common across many European languages, capturing an ancient and universal observation about human nature and romance.

People often hang this print in the bedroom or bedside area as a warm, affectionate nod to romance.
