Let no one be slow to seek wisdom when he is young… — Epicurus | Printable Wall Art

“Let no one be slow to seek wisdom when he is young nor weary in the search of it when he has grown old.”

Words by Epicurus (341-270 BC) — Ancient Greek philosopher, founder of Epicureanism.

About this quote

Epicurus argues that philosophy and the pursuit of a good life are suitable for any age. Youth is not too early to begin reflecting on how to live well, and old age is not too late to continue learning. True happiness comes from understanding the mind and world, a lifelong task that brings peace at every stage of existence.

This opening line comes from the Letter to Menoeceus, a concise summary of ethical philosophy written by the ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus in the third century BC.
