It always seems impossible until it's done. — Nelson Mandela | Printable Wall Art

“It always seems impossible until it's done.”

Words by Nelson Mandela (1918-2013) — Anti-apartheid leader and first President of democratic South Africa.

About this quote

Daunting tasks often feel completely unachievable when you first look at them. The difficulty can paralyse action and make success feel like a distant fantasy. However, once you take the necessary steps and complete the work, the struggle recedes. Looking back, the outcome feels natural and obvious, proving that initial doubt is merely an illusion that persistence can overcome.

The statement is widely attributed to Nelson Mandela and became popular during his time as an international elder statesman. It reflects the decades of struggle against apartheid, which once seemed entirely unwinnable.

People often hang this print in a home study or classroom to encourage quiet perseverance through challenging projects.
