In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just… — Sheryl Sandberg | Printable Wall Art

“In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.”

Words by Sheryl Sandberg (1969-) — Former Meta COO, author of Lean In.

About this quote

This quote looks forward to a time when gender is no longer a necessary qualifier for authority. True equality means evaluating individuals purely on their ability and character, rather than treating successful women as exceptional cases. By dropping the gendered label, Sandberg suggests that society will eventually view leadership as a universal quality rather than one defined by gender.

The line appears in Sheryl Sandberg's 2013 book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead. Writing as Facebook's chief operating officer, she addressed the cultural and professional obstacles that prevent women from reaching senior executive positions.

Many people hang this print in a home office or study to encourage ambition and modern leadership values.
