I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And… — Michael Jordan | Printable Wall Art

“I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Words by Michael Jordan (1963-) — Basketball legend, six-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls.

About this quote

This quote highlights the necessary relationship between perseverance and achievement. Instead of viewing mistakes as setbacks, it reframes repeated failure as an essential step towards mastery. True success relies on resilience, learning from errors, and continuing to try despite disappointment. By embracing failure as a teacher rather than an obstacle, one develops the grit required to reach the highest levels of performance.

The quote featured in a famous 1997 Nike television advertisement titled Failure. In the commercial, Jordan recites his statistics on missed shots and lost games before concluding with this line about his ultimate success.

People often hang this print in a home gym or study to build resilience during challenging workouts or intense work.
