Chi va con lo zoppo impara a zoppicare. — Italian Proverb | Printable Wall Art

“Chi va con lo zoppo impara a zoppicare.”
“He who walks with a lame man learns to limp.”

A traditional Italian saying, set as gallery-quality typographic wall art.

About this quote

This traditional Italian proverb warns that we pick up the habits, attitudes, and flaws of the people we spend time with. Just as walking beside someone with a limp might alter your own stride, surrounding yourself with bad influences gradually shapes your behaviour. It highlights the subtle power of social exposure and the need to choose companions wisely.

This is a classic folk proverb from Italy, recorded in various regional dialects over many centuries. Like similar expressions dating back to classical antiquity, it reflects a timeless moral observation about peer influence.

People often hang this in a study or hallway as a simple daily reminder to choose good company.
