Words by Amy Poehler (1971-) — Comedian, actress, and writer.

About this quote

Waiting until you feel entirely prepared often leads to missed opportunities. True progress happens when you step beyond your comfort zone and accept the challenge before confidence sets in. Success is rarely about perfect timing; it comes from taking action, learning on the job, and trusting yourself to adapt to the outcome.

Amy Poehler wrote this line in her 2014 memoir, Yes Please. She uses the phrase while discussing creative risks, career choices, and the necessity of taking leaps before feeling fully qualified.

An ideal print for a home office or creative studio to encourage bold decisions and daily momentum.
