Feel the fear and do it anyway. — Susan Jeffers | Printable Wall Art

“Feel the fear and do it anyway.”

Words by Susan Jeffers (1938-2012) — Author and self-help psychologist.

About this quote

This quote asserts that fear is a natural human response to new or difficult situations, rather than a sign to stop. Instead of waiting for fear to vanish before taking action, one should accept its presence and move forward. True courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to act despite feeling afraid.

It serves as the title and central idea of Susan Jeffers' landmark self-help book published in 1987. The phrase became a popular modern maxim for overcoming personal anxiety and taking decisive action.

People often hang this print in a home office or study to encourage daily boldness and decisive work.
