Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace. — Martin Luther | Printable Wall Art

“Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace.”

Words by Martin Luther (1483-1546) — German reformer of the Protestant Reformation.

About this quote

This quote describes faith not as a passive set of beliefs, but as an active and courageous trust in divine mercy. Luther emphasises that true faith naturally transforms a person's life from within. It gives believers a bold assurance that shapes how they act in the world, allowing them to rest quietly in God's favour while living courageously every day.

Written by the German theologian Martin Luther in 1522, this passage appears in his preface to the Epistle to the Romans. It remains one of his most celebrated summaries of Christian belief from the early Protestant Reformation.

People often hang this print in a bedroom or quiet study to encourage daily reflection and steady confidence.
