Cada uno cuenta la feria según le va en ella. — Spanish Proverb | Printable Wall Art

“Everyone tells of the fair according to how it went for them.”

A traditional Spanish saying, set as gallery-quality typographic wall art.

About this quote

This traditional proverb reminds us that personal perspective shapes how we describe our experiences. Two people can attend the same event, yet one might remember it with joy and the other with disappointment, depending on their individual fortunes. It encourages empathy, urging us to consider that someone else's view of a shared situation is bound to their unique outcome.

This traditional Spanish saying has circulated for centuries across Spain and Latin America. It stems from rural market days, where a trader's assessment of a fair depended entirely on their sales.

People often hang this in a hallway or dining room to spark thoughtful conversations about varying perspectives.
