Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. — Mike Tyson | Printable Wall Art

“Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”

Words by Mike Tyson (1966-) — American former professional boxer.

About this quote

Carefully laid strategies often collapse the moment real adversity strikes. While it is easy to prepare theoretically for a challenge, actual experience usually brings sudden, unexpected pressure. The phrase reminds us that true resilience is not about sticking rigidly to an initial design, but about how quickly and effectively we adapt when reality disrupts our expectations.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson offered this remark in the late 1980s when asked about an upcoming opponent's strategy. It quickly entered popular culture as a direct summary of practical realism.

People often hang this print in a home gym or study as a practical reminder to stay adaptable.
