Done is better than perfect. — Sheryl Sandberg | Printable Wall Art

“Done is better than perfect.”

Words by Sheryl Sandberg (1969-) — Former COO of Facebook, author of Lean In.

About this quote

Perfectionism often holds us back from finishing projects or releasing ideas into the world. Waiting for every detail to be flawless can cause endless delays and unnecessary stress. Completing a task allows you to learn, share, and improve based on real feedback. Making tangible progress matters far more than pursuing an unattainable ideal that keeps you standing still.

Sheryl Sandberg popularised this phrase in her 2013 book, Lean In, noting that it was painted on the walls at Facebook headquarters. The motto reflects modern technology culture, which prioritises swift action and iterative progress over slow perfection.

People often display this print in a home office or study to encourage focus and overcome procrastination.
