Don't think about making art, just get it done. — Andy Warhol | Printable Wall Art

“Don't think about making art, just get it done.”

Words by Andy Warhol (1928-1987) — Pop artist and filmmaker, leading figure of the Pop Art movement.

About this quote

This quotation encourages creators to bypass self-doubt and intellectual hesitation by focusing purely on the act of production. Warhol believed that overanalysing work during its creation stalls progress. By shifting attention from abstract ideas to practical output, an artist maintains momentum. The message suggests that judgment can wait; the priority is simply to keep producing work consistently.

Popularised during the height of the Pop Art movement, this phrase reflects Warhol’s pragmatic approach to art as a form of regular labour. It aligns with his well-documented views on production published in his later memoirs and interviews.

People often hang this print in modern studios or home offices to overcome creative blocks and encourage productivity.
