All's well that ends well. — William Shakespeare | Printable Wall Art

“All's well that ends well.”

Words by William Shakespeare (1564-1616) — English playwright and poet.

About this quote

This phrase suggests that a difficult journey, task, or problem is worth enduring if the final result is positive. It encourages us to focus on the eventual outcome rather than the temporary hardships, complications, or mistakes encountered along the way. Ultimately, a good resolution outweighs any trouble experienced during the process.

Although the proverb existed earlier in English speech, it was immortalised by William Shakespeare as the title and central motif of his comedy written in the early 1600s, cementing its place in the language.

People often display this in a home office or study to celebrate finishing difficult long term projects successfully.
