A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan… — George S. Patton | Printable Wall Art

“A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week.”

Words by George S. Patton (1885-1945) — U.S. Army general, WWII.

About this quote

Decisive action beats perfectionist delay. In fast-moving or critical situations, taking swift, energetic action with a sound strategy yields better results than waiting to craft a flawless scheme. Hesitation leads to lost momentum and missed opportunity, favouring prompt execution that creates immediate impact and allows room to adapt as circumstances unfold.

Written by General George S. Patton and published in his 1947 memoirs, War as I Knew It. The statement reflects his core military philosophy of speed and aggressive momentum during the Second World War.

This print suits a home office or study, where it encourages quick decision-making and momentum over perfectionism.
